The font and colors *are* hard to read if you don't smooth the edges of the screen font. It's really spacy in a bad sort of way. Ouch! On Windows, go to your Computer, Control Panel, Display, Appearance, Effects, and choose Clear Type for the smooth edges for screen fonts. It's substantially improved. It's HARD to read. Too Dark and colors blend in too much. Also the forgot password and profile update have some issues. Even though the publication dates of those are well in the past, some RSS readers are flagging those posts as recent. Some some old stuff is showing up as news.
