Michael Koppelman

Michael Koppelman was born on Earth. This was pure luck. A bunch of stuff happened to him and then he went to college in Boston at Berklee College of Music. He then worked as a recording engineer and record producer for the likes of Prince, PM Dawn and frente. Then he got hooked on the Internet and started an Internet Service Provider and web site shop. That thoroughly distracted him from the music biz and he started writing C code instead. Then his girlfriend (now wife) gave him a telescope and that lead to astrophotography and photometry and a lot of cold nights in his unheated observatory. It also lead to classes on calculus and physics at the University of Minnesota, where he is nearly done with an undergraduate degree in astrophysics. He has also been doing research at the UofM with Dr. Roberta Humphreys and Dr. Kris Davidson on Eta Carinae.
Michael is an opinionated bastard and he blogs, does podcasts and otherwise loves to debate about politics and policy. He is currently a tech guy at Clockwork Active Media Systems in Minneapolis, MN USA.
