From Slackerpedia Galactica
Kevin was turned on to astronomy at a young age, and has never turned off. "How long ago," you ask? Far enough back in time where Jupiter only had 12 moons, he remembers watching his first episode of Star Trek (The Corbomite Maneuver) in November of 1966, and he remembers watching Neil Armstrong step onto the surface of the moon.
Since those early days of yesteryear, Kevin has delved into other disciplines such as geology, meteorology (has been an active storm chaser for over 20 years, and thinks the movie “Twister” was the “Best Comedy Film of 1996”), and photography (many of his photographs have traveled the world).
He is current in another term as president of his local astronomy club, and uses their observatory obsessively.
(And why he is writing this in the third person, not even he (I) knows).
