The United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom (UK) is a great place where the "English" language was born, the bastard child of unknown parentage, basically randoms words picked out from every culture that invaded the islands until the British were able to fend off the Germans. This keeps the bookworms at the Oxford English Dictionary busy.

Formally called "Her Majesty's United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", where Great Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales... Northern Ireland was tacked on later to make the UK. Of course, the terms "United" and "Kingdom" are somewhat anachronistic:

Given that the countries have devolved somewhat into the Scottish Assembly, the Welsh Assembly and Northern Ireland is governed by a coalition of individuals loyal to the crown and those who wanted it to be part of the Republic of Ireland, the term "United" is used in its least intuitive sense.

Also, seeing as HM Queen runs it (or does she? every year she just agrees to whatever the government says) the reference to "Kingdom" is a bit off-the-mark, too. She's good egg and generally popular throughout the world, despite the way the rest of the family behave. She doesn't like to make too many changes, so it's not a Queendom.

Anyway, the UK is where J. K. Rowling lives. With her money, she must think it's generally a cool place otherwise she's emigrate.

The UK is shaped like a deformed boot kicking a deformed ball, but not as convincing as Italy and Sicily.
