Am I missing something obvious with the link to Bob Ross? (Are there Happy Little Galaxies out there?)

I do not understand why the Bob Ross and accusations of fakery on Hubble Heritage are here either. Can anyone back this up?OptimusShr 22:59, 21 November 2006 (EST)

I assume it is a joke, problem is I don't get it :) --Matt 00:03, 22 November 2006 (EST)

I don't get it either. I'm going to remove it untill it can be backed up. OptimusShr 09:56, 22 November 2006 (EST)

The Bob Ross thing is indeed a joke. He was a HUGELY popular painter on PBS TV stations until he died. He was so popular that he was hired to poke fun at himself in TV commercials. He was known for being very "happy" and silly and for a bizarre hair cut. He was a hippy that never left the 60's. I didn't write the joke, but I do find it funny so I added it back but reworded it a little. BTW, if you do remove something be sure to replace it with something. :) If the page is made entirely blank, then go ahead and delete it. --Aaron 14:13, 22 November 2006 (EST)

Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko were busy, so they bumped it up to Bob Ross's office. Hap-py little nebulae, ooooh! --Moby Dick 16:48, 22 November 2006 (EST)

I get it now, I think the problem was that the gag in the HST article only makes sense in terms of the gag in the Hubble Heritage article. --Matt 22:11, 22 November 2006 (EST)
