Selenography is the study of the physical features of the Moon, especially the mapping of its features. Maria, craters, and mountain ranges of the Moon are the features that are studied and mapped in selenography.

Selenography comes from the words "Selene" - a Goddess in Greek Mythology - and "ography" (to write).
