Parallax is when a viewpoint is changed, while measuring. Parallax, for example when you look at a star and block it with your finger. then close one eye and it moves slightly. to avoid parallax errors in physics practicals you should always record measurements at eye level (where necessary ie. a ruler, thermometer)
