Genitive is the fancy word for possessive.

In astronomy, the genitive name is what you put after something's name to indicate which constellation you're referring to. For example, Betelgeuse is Alpha Orionis, the alpha or brightest star in the constellation Orion. Orionis is the genitive of Orion rather than Orion's.
