Camelopardalis Constellation Starchart

Camelopardalis is a faint circumpolar constellation of the northern hemisphere named for the odd creature that was thought to be a cross between a camel and a leopard. That is, the beast is yellowish orange with a slender neck and legs yet it has spots. In other words, it's a giraffe but with a fancy Latin name.

This constellation is a recent one and is hard to visualize. Study the image linked below to learn how to imagine a giraffe in that seemingly empty part of the sky between Cassiopeia and the Big Dipper.
