Astrology is NOT Astronomy.

There is a meme going around that says the more money is spent on Astrology than Astronomy. And that's despite the apparent fact that Astrologers don't seem to suffer from aperture fever.

Astrology does however require the tools of astronomy to be accurate in calculation. Astrology uses the stars and constellations in one of its branches called Jyotish or Vedic astrology.
